Michigan senior running back Blake Corum is ascending in the Wolverines’ record book. He’s now fifth all time in career rushing touchdowns, with 40 during his three-plus-year career. He’s only 1 shy of his position coach and run game coordinator, Mike Hart (41), and 2 short of support staffer Denard Robinson, the highest ranking former Michigan quarterback in that category. Anthony Thomas leads U-M all time with 55 career rushing touchdowns. Corum also has 2,917 career rushing yards, which now places him in the top 10 in U-M history.

Michigan sophomore defensive tackle Kenneth Grant logged the first interception of his career in a 45-7 win over Rutgers Saturday.

“I heard the ball tip and I later found out it was [senior EDGE] Braiden [McGregor]. I looked up and the ball was just right there and I had to go get up and get it.

“But it was pretty fun. I was trying to get up fast and celebrate with my team, so that was definitely probably the best part of it. [Michigan head] Coach [Jim Harbaugh] was talking about the bodies flying at you from all angles. I was trying to get up and run with it, but people were hitting me from everywhere, so I was like, dang. I just automatically fell down.”

The Wolverines cashed in with a touchdown after the turnover, making the score 14-0 en route to a blowout victory.

Michigan ranks tied for third in the country with only 5.6 yards to go on third down, according to CBS Sports’ Tom Fornelli.

Collins had his best day yet in a 30-6 blowout win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, hauling in 7 catches for a career-best 168 yards and 2 touchdowns. It was the first game in his career with multiple scores, and he’s now up to 6 touchdown receptions in 28 NFL games. His second score of the game came when the Texans had the win firmly in hand, with Stroud hitting him on a flag route on 3rd and 6 for a 52-yard touchdown.
