Michigan basketball signee Trey McKenney signs NIL deal with car dealership group, excited to make 'endless' connections in Ann Arbor

Michigan Wolverines basketball four-star shooting guard signee Trey McKenney — a Flint native who attended Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary’s — has entered an NIL agreement with Randy Wise Automotive.
McKenney will drive a brand new 2025 Ford Bronco while at Michigan.
“With our company founded in Flint, we are extremely excited to partner with the first Flint basketball player to attend Michigan since Glen Rice,” Christopher Wise, vice president of Randy Wise Automotive, told TheWolverine.com.
“Our company is heavily involved with the Boy & Girls Club of Greater Flint as well as the United Way of Genesee County. Trey and our team plan to work with Flint nonprofits to continue making our community a better place. In the past, the Randy Wise Team has helped organize Flint area charity work, bringing [former head football coach] Jim Harbaugh and the entire Michigan football team up for a day of service in the summer of 2022.”
Randy Wise Automotive has partnered with numerous Michigan athletes in the past. Randy Wise Automotive is part of a dealer group with eight locations and 13 brands founded in 1989. The Automotive Team is the largest automotive group donor to a United Way in the state of Michigan.
McKenney is the No. 21 overall recruit in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industy Ranking. He checks in as the No. 7 shooting guard nationally and the best player in Michigan.

The 6-foot-4 guard racked up all sorts of accolades as a high school senior. He was named a McDonald’s All-American and earned Mr. Basketball honors in the state of Michigan.
McKenney told TheWolverine.com he’s excited for the NIL and off-the-court opportunities at Michigan, in addition to what he’s looking forward to accomplishing under head coach Dusty May and staff.
“Going to Michigan, the connections you have are endless,” McKenney said. “There are so many guys that have gone to Michigan and are doing great things. I’m just happy to be able to expand my platform and expand my brand, and meet new people at the University of Michigan. There are a lot of connections that you can grab from going there and being a listener.”
McKenney will arrive at Michigan in June and plans to come ready to contribute.
“I’m really excited to compete at practice and work hard every day, and just see what I can bring to the team this year,” he said.
