Rivals debuted its first Top 300 for the class of 2027 since the merger with On3 Wednesday afternoon. One key Michigan quarterback target launched up the rankings after a huge summer, and a couple of elite targets fell this week.

The Wolverines do not hold a commitment in the 2027 class yet but have already established themselves as early contenders for a handful of Top 100 prospects, including a few of the top quarterbacks in the country.

Quarterbacks

Kavian Bryant maintained his title as the No. 1 signal-caller nationally in this rankings update. He moved up two spots to No. 40 overall. He’s a two-sport star out of Texas who already holds football and basketball offers from the Longhorns.

Teddy Jarrard made perhaps the most notable jump up the rankings this week after his recruitment exploded over the offseason. He impressed at the Rivals Five-Star camp and now ranks No. 52 nationally. The Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb standout is the second-ranked quarterback in the country after the 55-spot leap.

Elijah Haven is one of the more divisive quarterback prospects in this class based on his current rankings across the industry. He climbed up 25 spots to enter the Top 100 at No. 99 nationally this week.

Keegan Croucher received a modest bump up from No. 122 to No. 113, Peter Bourque remained at No. 110 and Peyton Houston also held steady at No. 157. Malachi Zeigler, one of the quarterbacks who attended Michigan’s passing academy last month, fell out of the Rivals300 after previously ranking No. 237 in the class.

Updates on key Michigan targets

Michigan is pursuing two Top 5 wide receivers from the midwest in the 2027 cycle, and they both made small jumps in the national rankings this week. Monshun Sales is the No. 4 receiver nationally and the No. 20 overall prospect, and Dakota Guerrant checks in close behind him at No. 24. Both receivers rose three spots in the rankings. Guerrant remains the No. 1 recruit in Michigan.

Quentin Burrell, another priority pass catcher for the Wolverines, climbed two spots to No. 43 nationally.

Brock Williams, the top-ranked tight end in the country, jumped up three spots into the Top 30 at No. 28. He visited Michigan earlier this year. Top 100 edge Chris Whitehead also made a trip to Ann Arbor this year, and he fell from No. 9 to No. 53 in this rankings update.

Rivals300 cornerback Duvay Williams also dropped to No. 116, while fellow elite defensive back Ace Alston now ranks No. 177 nationally after an 85-spot fall. Both cornerbacks hold early Michigan offers and visited recently. Four-star defensive lineman Brayden Parks, one of Chicago’s top prospects, dropped out of the Top 300 as well. He was the No. 236 prospect in the country in the last update.

Updates on Michigan’s in-state recruits

Guerrant was not the only in-state prospect to crack the Top 300. Edge rusher Recarder Kitchen is the No. 2 prospect in the state at No. 105 nationally— a one-spot drop for the Muskegon (Mich.) star.

Kalamazoo (Mich.) Central offensive tackle Dewey Young is the third-ranked prospect in Michigan after holding steady at No. 155 in this update. The Wolverines have not offered the 6-5 lineman yet.

Detroit (Mich.) Country Day tight end Anthony Cartwright dropped slightly from No. 189 to No. 193, Detroit (Mich.) Martin Luther King offensive tackle Jameer Henry climbed one spot to No. 263 and Detroit (Mich.) Catholic Central safety Gideon Gash moved back one slot to No. 268 to round out the Rivals300.
