Date revealed for Michigan game against Wake Forest in Detroit: Tickets on sale Friday

Entertainment company 313 Presents announced Wednesday the date for the neutral-site game between Michigan Wolverines basketball and Wake Forest at Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit. The Wolverines and Demon Deacons will square off Tuesday, Nov. 11 in the second of a two-game series that began last year in Greensboro, N.C.
Tip-off time and television details will be announced at a later date.
Tickets go on sale Friday, June 6, at 10 a.m. ET. They can be purchased at 313Presents.com and Ticketmaster.com.
“Little Caesars Arena provides an incredible atmosphere for college basketball, and we are excited to host the Wolverine-Deacon Challenge,” said 313 Presents president Howard Handler in a release. “I expect the Michigan fan base to be well represented for this early season matchup between two storied programs. We look forward to delivering an unforgettable game-night experience to all student-athletes, coaches and fans.”
Michigan and Wake Forest played a tight game the first time around, with head coach Steve Forbes‘ Demon Deacons winning 72-70. Michigan had opportunities at the end, but two slips on the same wet spot on the floor led to turnovers and proved costly.
The Wolverines held an exhibition game at Little Caesars Arena last October, beating Oakland 92-48 in the first public display of May’s Michigan program.
“After the thriller we had in Greensboro last season, we look forward to another chance to not only play a high-quality opponent early but to bring it to our backyard this time,” Michigan head coach Dusty May said in a statement. “Hosting in downtown Detroit at Little Caesars Arena is not only special for us, but it’s special for the community. We look forward to showcasing our program on a big stage and continuing to build momentum early in the season.”

Michigan won the Big Ten Tournament, advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 and stacked 27 victories in its first season under May in 2024-25. The Wolverines rank fourth on Bart Torvik’s preseason projections.
Wake Forest, meanwhile, checks in No. 78 nationally in the same set of projections. The Demon Deacons finished 21-11 overall and 13-7 in the ACC and missed the NCAA Tournament after bowing out in the first round of the conference tournament to North Carolina last year.
In addition to the Nov. 11 gme in Detroit, Michigan will play at TCU (date TBD), take on Duke in Washington D.C. in February and participate in The Players Era Festival in Las Vegas the week of Thanksgiving. The Wolverines are also reportedly finalizing a deal for a home-and-home series with Villanova, which would begin with a home game at Crisler Center this coming season and return trip to Philadelphia in 2026-27.
Michigan received its Big Ten schedule draw, and the dates of each game are still to be announced.
