Newsstand: University of Michigan ranked No. 1 college in America

Tweets Of The Day
For only the second time ever, a public university has been named the best college in the U.S. by Money. The University of Michigan topped the list after Money Magazine “analyzed dozens of data points to produce a ranking we think will be useful to applicants who are increasingly looking for more choices.”
“Michigan pulls off a hat trick in this year’s rankings, scoring high across each of the three categories we look at,” Money’s Kaitlin Mulhere wrote. “But it performs especially well on the affordability measures.
“Money estimates the in-state price of a degree from Michigan is less than that of 600-some colleges in our rankings. More than 9,000 in-state undergraduates, about 54%, receive grants from the university. About a quarter of them attend tuition-free.”
The Brandr Group (TBG), a brand management and licensing agency founded by Wesley Haynes, announced a new group licensing agreement for Michigan student-athletes Tuesday morning. The partnership includes all 29 sports and grants “the collective use of student-athletes’ NIL in licensing and marketing programs, co-branded with Michigan Athletics logos and marks.”
