As part of its gear-up for the 2025 season, Michigan Wolverines football is getting ready for a big NIL event that will lead into Big Ten Media Days and the start of fall camp. The official collective of Michigan athletics will host the Champions Circle Golf Classic featuring head coach Sherrone Moore Monday, July 21, at The Cardinal at St. John’s in Plymouth, Mich.

The day will begin with 18 holes of golf, followed by cocktail hour, post-golf awards and dinner.

Supporters of Michigan athletics can interact with Moore and key Wolverine players on the golf course, as well as hear from former All-American tight end Jake Butt, ESPN reporter Adam Schefter and FOX broadcaster Gus Johnson at a fireside chat hosted by WXYZ’s Brad Galli after the dinner. The panel will share behind-the-scenes stories from their years covering and being close to the Michigan Football program.

The event is open to fans of Michigan football, and tickets on sale now. Fans can join for golf and dinner ($2,000 for a single golfer) or dinner-only ($250). Registration ends Friday, July 18, at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

TheWolverine.com staff will be on site and hosting its live podcast on YouTube — featuring Michigan football players as special guests — during the afternoon.

The following Michigan coaches and celebrities are scheduled to attend:
• Football: Lou Esposito, Sherrone Moore, Wink Martindale, Chip Lindsey, Steve Casula, Tony Alford, Grant Newsome, Ron Bellamy
• Basketball: Dusty May, Kyle Church
• Hockey: Brandon Naurato

Revenue sharing has entered college athletics, but Champions Circle and other NIL collectives remain important to the success of athletic departments. Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel shared recently that donating to Champions Circle is one of the top ways fans can get involved to help Wolverine athletics.
