Newsstand: Social media reaction to potential Jim Harbaugh suspension

Tweets Of The Day
Michigan football head coach Jim Harbaugh may face a four-game suspension to begin the 2023 season, Yahoo Sports first reported Tuesday, stemming from a Level I (most severe) allegation that he failed to cooperate with investigators regarding multiple minor violations. The leak came just two days before Harbaugh — the 2022 Big Ten Coach of the Year — will take the podium for the conference’s media days. Michigan has won the conference each of the last two seasons and was picked by the media to win the Big Ten again in 2023.
Here’s a look at the top social media reactions on the topic, with most believing the NCAA off base by potentially dropping the hammer on Harbaugh when many others — most recently Tennessee — have gotten off with a slap on the wrist for doing much worse.
Author John U. Bacon weighs in, highlighting that part of the initial allegations Michigan faced had to do with Harbaugh reportedly meeting recruits for a cheeseburger at local restaurant Brown Jug.

Maize ‘N Brew’s Trevor Woods also brings up Tennessee, how it had over 200 violations yet is still eligible to make a bowl game this season.

Quotes Of The Day
“I want Bryce. I want him at Michigan. He’s one of the big recruits who we want. I always want to play with my brothers so that’s a big thing to me. Coach [Curtis] Blackwell has done so much for me too so I feel like giving back to them and bringing in more kids to Michigan will help out a lot.”
