Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga Michigan EDGE commit Carter Meadows is a five-star and the nation’s No. 5 overall player in the 2026 class, per Rivals’ new rankings update.

“At 6’6+, 225 pounds with elite length and advanced movement skills, Meadows has one of the highest upsides at EDGE in 2026,” director of rankings and scouting Charles Power posted on ‘X.’

Meadows is a “Rivals outlier,” meaning the recruiting media empire is higher on him than other services.

From Rivals’ Charles Power:
“Carter Meadows is one of the more physically-gifted EDGE prospects in the 2026 cycle — one that’s loaded with talent at the position. We think really highly of Meadows. He’s over 6-foot-6, 225 pounds, has 35.5-inch arms, big hands and is a guy who we feel good about coming in at 270 pounds or more once he’s in a college strength and conditioning program. He really flashes big positives on film. At his size, he has rare flexibility, he can really dip and bend around the edge and can turn the corner at top speeds. He has the movement patterns that you look for in pass-rushers. He plays top competition at Gonzaga and I think is a guy who’s really just scratching the surface of what he can be. He’s also a very good basketball player who plays for a top high school team and is on the AAU circuit. He’s someone you want to see more production from as a senior, but there’s so much physical ability with Meadows.”

Michigan ranks ninth in the nation in the Rivals Industry recruiting rankings.

Michigan is an “everything school.”

Quote Of The Day

“Just super excited for fall camp to be in there with everybody and just see who’s gonna give us the best shot. It’s not gonna be personal. At the end of the day, it’s gonna be a decision of who’s gonna give us the best shot of beating the teams that we play on Saturdays.”
