Topics for this Michigan football and college football podcast

Topics that were hit on during this Michigan podcast include the following:

• The excitement for the Michigan season. The Wolverines rank sixth in the coaches poll, their highest preseason standing since 2007. But both Sayfie and Fox bring up seasons that had a similar level of anticipation between that season and this one. The Maize and Blue were favored to win the Big Ten in 2019, and the excitement for the first couple years of the Jim Harbaugh era can’t be forgotten.

• Predictions for the 2022 Michigan football season. We discuss the Wolverines’ potential breakout players, MVP, quarterback battle, biggest concern, record prediction and more.

• Some quick picks for the Big Ten. There are several options to be the league’s “surprise team” this fall, with Nebraska, Purdue and Minnesota all being in the mix in what is a wide open West Division. Both Sayfie and Fox also agree on who will win Michigan’s conference this season.

• Champion for every Power Five conference. Surprisingly, both Sayfie and Fox agreed on all five Power Five leagues. They discuss their winners and other contenders in each conference.

• Who will win the Heisman Trophy. There are two quarterbacks at the top of the list in Alabama’s Bryce Young and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud.

• Predicted College Football Playoff four-team field. Michigan is picked by one of the two hosts, along with some regulars in the CFP.
