Key quotes from Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore
• On Michigan’s win: “Proud of this team, proud of how they prepared and how they never looked forward the whole week, and it’s so easy to be able to do that with that game on the horizon. So, I thought overall, how they prepared was outstanding and then how they played. They played really good in all three phases.
“We continue to get better. Being so young, those guys just played physical … they played tough. I was just really proud of the performance of the team.”
• On injuries to Jordan Marshall and Max Bredeson: “Jordan could have gone if we needed him to, and I talked to him right after this. I was like, ‘I guess you’re not going to play next week,’ and he just laughed at me. He said, ‘is that really a question?’
“No, he could have gone [through shoulder and wrist injuries].”
“Yeah, Max was on crutches. We’ll get further evaluation when we get home and see what happens.”
• On Ernest Hausmann and Semaj Morgan: “They’re just working through some things, so, not long-term things … we’ll see as we go through the week.”

• How big Michigan linebacker Cole Sullivan’s return was: “Cole’s such a good player. He’s such a great player, and he’s a young player, but he doesn’t play like that. It’s great to be in the position to have all these guys, but we don’t really have starters and not like backups. They’re all starters.
“They all play, you know? We’ve got 6 starting defensive tackles. We’ve got 6 starting edges. It’s like at any point, any of those guys can be in and we’re good. The defense doesn’t change on offense — it’s the same way with receivers, tight end. That doesn’t change, so … it doesn’t really matter, especially on defense.”
• On Michigan’s third down success: “It was outstanding to go … 12 of 14 is hard. It’s hard in any game. For us to do that was outstanding. Great job by Coach Lindsey and the offensive staff, and then the players were executing the plan to a T.
Bryce had to make some plays. Those receivers made plays, protection being where it was, all those things, and short yardage was so much better. All those things were huge, so it was a great performance. It meant a lot to do that, especially with the game coming up next week.”
