WATCH: Ron Bellamy on Michigan offseason, Donaven McCulley, Bryce Underwood, more at satellite camp
DETROIT — Michigan Wolverines football wide receives coach and pass game coordinator Ron Bellamy met with reporters at the Sound Mind Sound Body National College Showcase satellite camp Sunday at Wayne State. Watch video of Bellamy in the player below.
Among the topics Bellamy discussed in the video:
• Graduate wide receiver Donaven McCulley: The Indiana transfer has impressed in the early going, with Bellamy saying back in the spring that he believes McCulley could be the next Michigan wideout to earn a spot on the mural in the position room. That’s high praise given that he hasn’t taken a snap in a winged helmet, but his experience and large catch radius have stood out. Bellamy said he doesn’t know if McCulley will wear the vaunted No. 1 jersey.

• Freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood: The five-star+ signee was also impressive during Michigan’s bowl’s practices, winter workouts and spring ball. Underwood’s leadership is what has stood out to Bellamy the most. He called it “rare” for someone to have skills at that high of a level this early in his career.
• Junior wideout Semaj Morgan: Bellamy said the Michigan veteran had a great spring and can look to expand his game. Morgan said at a recent even that he wants to do more than jet sweeps and bubble screens.
