Jasper Parker helps Michigan pour it on

Michigan’s fourth-string running back, freshman Jasper Parker, has also looked impressive. He scored from 1 yard out after a string of solid runs. The Wolverines have a 63-3 lead with nine minutes to go. The Wolverines cashed in after the recovered fumble, scoring on a short field.

Angel Flores ran 20 yards to the CMU 45-yard line, before Troy Bowles forced a fumble as he was going to the ground. It was recovered by Michigan defensive lineman Manuel Beigel at the 45-yard line, where the Wolverines will take over early in the fourth quarter up 56-3.

Michigan reserve running back Bryson Kudzdzal checked into the game at the start of the fourth quarter, and had a few nice runs. He had rushes of 6, 11 and 6, before punching in a 1-yard touchdown. The Wolverines hold a 56-3 advantage with 14:01 left in the game.

Michigan freshman cornerback Elijah Dotson nabs his first career interception on a pass from CMU QB Joe Labas. Dotson picked it off at the CMU 48-yard yard line and didn’t have any yards on the return. Michigan takes over late in the third quarter.

Michigan got down to the 18-yard line, facing 4th and 1. Bryce Underwood was looking to throw a play-action pass, but he turned around, rolled to his left and ran for an 18-yard score. He now has 235 passing yards and a touchdown and 114 rushing yards and 2 scores on the ground. The Wolverines lead 49-3 with 3:12 to go in the third quarter.

The Michigan defense got a quick stop to begin the second half, before the offense drove down 70 yards in 10 plays. The Wolverines are up 42-3 after Jordan Marshall punched it in for a 4-yard touchdown, his second score of the day. There is 8:27 on the third quarter clock.

Caledonia, Mich., native puts CMU on the board

Central Michigan had its first productive drive of the game, going 81 yards in 14 plays following the Michigan interception. Cade Graham — a kicker from Caledonia, Mich. — made a 22-yard field goal for the Chippewas, putting them on the board. Michigan’s advantage is 28-3 with 1:51 to go in the second quarter.

Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood kept on a designed QB run over the left side for a 20-yard touchdown to put Michigan up 21-0 with 12:09 to go in the first quarter. The Wolverines’ drive went 77 yards in four plays. The short drive was full of big plays — a 30-yard pass to Andrew Marsh, 26-yard pass to Hogan Hansen and the Underwood score.
