ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The minutes are counting down before kickoff for Michigan Wolverines football vs. Central Michigan Saturday afternoon at The Big House. Follow along below for pregame observations and updates from the stadium.

Michigan headed back to locker room

The Michigan team finished up warmups and is headed back into the locker room for the final time before kickoff. The Wolverines are shorthanded. Based on clues in warmups, they’ll be without Zeke Berry of the players who are questionable, but it looks like Marlin Klein and Ernest Hausmann will play.

• Starting offensive line, left to right: Evan Link, Nathan Efobi, Greg Crippen, Jake Guarnera, Andrew Sprague
• Damon Payne, Trey Pierce and Rayshaun Benny are the starting defensive tackles.
• Brandyn Hillman and TJ Metcalf are the starting safeties. Michigan was in base defense (four DBs) to start.
• Jayden Sanders and Jyaire Hill were the starting cornerbacks. Zeke Berry did not rep with the starters or get in.
• Linebacker Ernest Hausmann (questionable) is working with the Michigan starters.

Cornerbacks

The first two cornerbacks in during seven-on-sevens are Jyaire Hill and Jayden Sanders. Zeke Berry, the usual starter, is listed as questionable and wasn’t in the first or second group to come in.

Michigan without both starting guards

Both left guard Giovanni El-Hadi and right guard Brady Norton are out for today’s game. Norton suffered an injury in practice. Nathan Efobi (left) and Jake Guarnera (right) are repping with the starters in warmups.

Michigan availability report

Michigan has released its availability report for the game. Giovanni El-Hadi and Brady Norton, Mchigan’s left and right guard, respectively, are starters who are out, and some are questionable, including cornerback Zeke Berry, linebacker Ernest Hausmann and tight end Marlin Klein.
