That extended Nebraska’s drive, and they went 55 yards in 12 plays and 5:44 of clock time, ending in a 38-yard field goal by Kyle Cunanan. Michigan’s lead is 27-20 with 14:56 to go in the fourth.

Dylan Raiola heaved one up after rolling out to his right and finding Jacory Barney Jr. at the goal line for a touchdown. The game is tied 17-17 at halftime. Michigan’s punt from Hudson Hollenbeck went 49 yards, but Nebraska’s Jacory Barney Jr. had a 20-yard return that helped set the ‘Huskers up at their own 37-yard line — solid field position. The Cornhuskers went 63 yards in seven plays, capped off by a 26-yard touchdown pass from Dylan Raiola to Barney. Michigan graduate safety Rod Moore got on the field for the first time in 621 days — and the Wolverines came up with a pick right after he got in the game. Jyaire Hill jumped a route, deflected the ball and Cole Sullivan notched a pick. On the first play of the Michigan drive, Bryce Underwood ran a quarterback draw for a 37-yard touchdown. The Wolverines lead 10-0 with 0:11 remaining in the first quarter.

Michigan strikes first! The Wolverines drove 46 yards in 10 plays following a missed Nebraska field goal. Michigan had 2 nice chances at touchdowns, one on a double pass by Semaj Morgan to Donaven McCulley that didn’t hit even though the receiver was wide open, and another dropped in the end zone by Channing Goodwin on a beautiful pass from Bryce Underwood to the corner of the end zone. Michigan settled for a 46-yard field goal to go up 3-0 with 1:33 to go in the first quarter.

Michigan’s defense was shredded on the first drive, but Nebraska’s low red zone issues continued. The Wolverines made a stop on 4th and 2 from the 6-yard line, with the Cornhuskers going with a shovel pass that was stopped a yard short of the marker.
