Key quotes from Michigan WR Andrew Marsh
• On if his phone has blown up since his 12-catch, 189-yard performance against Northwestern: “It’s been blowing up a little bit, kind of just been trying not to focus on it too much, really just stay focused on what we’ve got to worry about this week.”
• On what it was like in September when he was a backup compared to now as one of Michigan’s starters: “I wouldn’t say much has changed, really, for me. I would say kind of just coming into work every day, as well as everybody else. Kind of just waited for my opportunity, and then when I got it, just made the most out of it.”
• On how tough it is for young players to learn the play book and line up: “I would say that’s something that’s definitely challenged me before. Coming here, there was a lot more I had to learn in the game, I would say, just the level from high school to college, there’s a lot more that you have to know. The play book is something I kind of struggled with. But with the help of the coaches and all the work that we put in, it wasn’t too hard.”
• On if he did anything differently at Michigan vs. high school to learn the play book: “Just spent a lot more time in the facility. A lot of early mornings, late nights, stuff like that.”

• On how much extra work he and quarterback Bryce Underwood put in together: “We put in a lot of work. Nights after watching film. I’m actually going to go watch film with him after this. A lot of work is put in behind the scenes.”
• On how high school football in Texas prepared him: “It definitely helped prepare me. Football in the South is a lot different, really, than everywhere else, in my opinion. So, just being able to experience that definitely helped me get here.”
• On if playing as a freshman was a priority for him when being recruited to Michigan and other schools: “My biggest priority was really just being able to come help the team, wherever that was.
