The hosts began the show by discussing Michigan’s life after beating Ohio State, in the five days since the 13-10 upset. While the Wolverines were massive underdogs, they’ve won four straight against the Buckeyes, owning the rivalry.

“Now that we’ve five days removed, I almost can’t envision a world where Michigan didn’t win that game,” Sayfie said. “It just feels like it makes more sense that we’re living in this world where Michigan beat Ohio State and Ryan Day is giving hour long press conferences about his mental state and all sorts of things the other day. Crazy.”

“Yeah, I really feel for the guy,” Balas chimed in. “Everything they’ve put Michigan through in trying to explain away an unbelievable era of Michigan football, they can kiss my ass, and flat out I don’t feel sorry for anybody over there. As a matter of fact, this is karma, in my opinion.

“The whole narrative has shifted. And I said this in my column. I said, if you want to still talk about snow flurries and flu and cheating and all this crap, then the rest of the country is going to laugh at you even more now — and they are. You still have one clown blogger saying, ‘Well, they’ve really only lost two, and only one of those was a bad lost.’ That was one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard pertaining to this series. So it was absurd, and it was fun to read, though. It was fun to read the other side as much as it was fun to read what Michigan writers were saying.”
