Sherrone Moore quick-hitters
• Moore on freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood taking half the snaps in spring ball: “Yeah, you only getting better at football by playing football. It definitely helped him. But before anybody asks, it’s an open competition. He is not the starter right now. There is no starter. We’ll find that in fall camp.”
• On how Underwood has handled pressure: “He’s 17 years old, so he doesn’t really know what he doesn’t know yet. It’s different at Michigan. To be the starting quarterback at Michigan, there’s a lot of quote-unquote pressure.”
• On gains in the weight room: “There are so many. People hit on Bryce — he’s gone from 215 to 230, and it’s good weight. A guy like Enow Etta. He’s 320 right now, came it at like 250. Andrew Sprague has changed his body. Deyvid Palepale. He was 370 and is now 338.”
• • Moore on the nickel position: “That competition is gonna be fun to watch because there are so many guys that could play.” Moore noted that there are corners and safeties in the mix, and that it’ll be a true battle in fall camp.

• Moore on his alma mater Oklahoma, playing them in week two: “My anticipation for that game is that it’s a big game and our first road test. People might not want to hear it from the Oklahoma side, but I’m a Wolverine. My allegiance is not to Oklahoma, regardless of going there. It’s to Michigan and the football players at Michigan.”
• Moore on if Michigan will run Bryce Underwood a lot: “Whenever you have a quarterback, they’ve gotta have the ability to do that. But if you run your quarterback, you better have two.”
• Moore on if it’s hard to prepare for the season not knowing what the NCAA is going to rule: “Obviously, can’t talk about that, but not hard because you’re so excited … You can’t worry about things you can’t control.”
Moore said he has a plan in place if he is suspended but he won’t share it because “we’ll wait to see if that happens.”
