Newsstand: Michigan HC Sherrone Moore weighs in on Ohio State

The Michigan Wolverines are 9-2 with the lone regular season test remaining this weekend against Ohio State at the Big House, putting their 11-0 record on the line and setting up a game with College Football Playoff implications.
Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore, who is 2-0 sitting in the big chair against the Buckeyes, says they prepare for this game daily and are ready to put all of those lessons into action this week.
“I mean, it’s everything you do,” Moore said. “It’s going to class, it’s taking your business off the field. It’s the way we practice, what we do, how we prepare, the mental mindset of how we study. Obviously, there’s things within the confines of the building that I can’t completely let you know.
“But there’s everything we do, whether that’s in the weight room, putting your M’s up, making sure everything is neat, everything is tidy, everything’s locked in, because you can’t prepare for the game the week of the game. It’s got to happen in January, it’s got to happen in February, it’s got to happen in March, in the summer. If you try to shift the way you prepare that week, then it’s too late. So we’ve been doing this for a while, but now we get to focus in from a game plan standpoint, exactly what we’re gonna do.”
Moore says he watches the Buckeyes every week and knows the challenge the nation’s top-ranked team will pose to the Wolverines.

“They’re a really good football team,” Moore said. “They’re the number one team in the country. They’ve got talent everywhere, on offense, on defense, on special teams. But I think we got a really good football team too. I think we got really good players. I think we’ve got talent everywhere. So we’ll prepare our tails off for this game, and then we’ll go after it on Saturday.”
Michigan and Ohio State kick off at 12:10 p.m. ET on Saturday from Ann Arbor with FOX carrying the national broadcast.

Michigan quote of the day
“But in general, I think that you see a team that has no interceptions after a five-turnover game in Wrigley Field last weekend. The bounce back is real and the bounce back is happening. And with team captains going to the sideline, young guys having to step in. I thought you saw Bryce Underwood play his most poised and composed game in its totality throughout the entirety of the four quarters today. This team’s ceiling was a huge question mark for everybody coming in, including the Michigan coaching staff. And as we’ve talked throughout the season, I think we’ve seen glimpses of what the ceiling could be, but I do think we have some guys that are starting to peak.”
