The Michigan Wolverines are coming off a disappointing setback in a 31-13 loss at USC on Saturday night in Los Angeles, but it is a new week with a new opportunity on the horizon to get back in the win column.

Now, the Washington Huskies come to town on Saturday afternoon for a showdown with Michigan. According to BetMGM, the Wolverines are a 6-point favorite for this week’s game, with the over/under for total points scored set at 50.5. The Wolverines are set at -210 on the moneyline, while Washington is a +170 underdog.

Michigan knows it let one slip away at USC, which will be something they try to turn the page from on Saturday.

“I think they just played well,” Moore said of the USC loss. “They executed at a high level. We didn’t execute all the times we needed to. Yeah, they played really well. They executed the times they needed to. We didn’t. We didn’t tackle very well. And we’ve tackled a lot better. And that was not one of our best tackling performances. And those guys executed well, they had a really good plan.

“Just too many opportunities, big plays, third down conversions, scoring in the beginning of the game and half. So we just gotta do a better job of rallying those things. So, but credit to them, credit to their game plan. No excuses. We got to continue to attack and get better.”

Saturday’s game at the Big House is set for a noon kickoff with FOX on the national broadcast.

Michigan quote of the day

“Michigan landed the No. 1 running back in the country this cycle in five-star prospect Savion Hiter. Could the Wolverines really do it again? It’s not out of the realm of possibilities. Michigan does a great job of featuring two backs, and Hiter and Spell would be an unbelievable 1-2 punch. Kemon Spell has already expressed plenty of interest in Michigan and plans to visit for the game against Ohio State next month. Michigan running backs coach Tony Alford is working hard here and has proven he can land the big fish.”
