Newsstand: Six more Saturdays until Michigan football

The Michigan Wolverines kick off the 2025 football season in 42 days against New Mexico at home as we barrel into late July. The upcoming week is the unofficial start of the fall camp cycle, with head coach Sherrone Moore and a contingent of players heading to Las Vegas for Big Ten Football Media Days.
Graduate fullback/tight end Max Bredeson, senior linebacker Ernest Hausmann, and senior EDGE Derrick Moore will be in attendance with their head coach. Their day to speak to the media is set for Thursday, July 24, at Mandalay Bay.
Before that, the Champions Circle Golf Outing will take place Monday from Saint John’s, where The Wolverine will be in attendance and hosting a live stream from 1-3 p.m. from the event. Several Michigan players, including Bryce Underwood, are scheduled to swing by our set for interviews.
Fall camp opens on July 30, giving the team exactly one month to prepare for the home opener against New Mexico. Kickoff of that game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. and broadcast nationally via NBC. They will play in primetime two weeks in a row with a Week 2 showdown set against the Oklahoma Sooners, which kicks off at the same time the following week on ABC.

Michigan quote of the day
“Musgrave was an under-the-radar recruit out of Bend, Oregon, who played his way into the second round of the NFL Draft after a four-year career at Oregon State. He caught 47 passes for 633 yards during his time in Corvallis and missed most of his senior year due to a knee injury. Physically, he checks in at 6-6, 253 pounds. Ludwig measures 6-4.5 and around 250 pounds as well. Musgrave played in 18 games over the first two years of his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers, catching 41 passes for 297 yards.”
