Podcast: Michigan win over MSU in perspective, November football next

Anthony Broomeby: Anthony Broome6 hours agoanthonytbroome

The Michigan Wolverines are 6-2 on the year after a 31-20 win over the rival Michigan State Spartans on Saturday night in East Lansing. Now, it turns the page to November and has an opportunity to set itself up for a potential College Football Playoff opportunity if it wins out.

TheWolverine.com’s Anthony Broome, Chris Balas and Clayton Sayfie discuss the fallout from Saturday’s rivalry win over Michigan State, what we need to see down the stretch and much more.

What I made of it was just what those kids got to experience on Saturday night with a happy bus ride home after experiencing the great thrill of victory,” Sayfie said on the show. “The wonderful feeling of winning in an opposing team’s stadium. It’s their Super Bowl, it’s their biggest game of the year and Michigan was able to come out with a win.

“… Michigan owns this rivalry. Michigan was a more composed team all night long. You didn’t see the stupid penalties. You actually saw that they were pulling each other away from any sort of conflict after the play, something that could get them in trouble. And I thought that was cool to see because Michigan was just all about their business. They didn’t play very well in a lot of areas, but they looked like the much better team, much more poised team, A team that was on a business trip, you know, whereas Michigan State was trying to kind of drag them into the mud a little bit.”
