The Michigan Wolverines were on the bye this weekend, but there were plenty of games across college football that informed how we might view the team moving forward, especially in Big Ten play.

TheWolverine.com’s Anthony Broome and Clayton Sayfie discuss takeaways from across the Big Ten, Michigan coming off the bye week, what we expect to see in October and more during our Monday night live show.

”Getting to watch USC at Illinois, I thought that was really interesting and kind of illustrates how tough it is to go across a couple of time zones in the Big Ten,” Sayfie said on the show. “USC, not looking like the team that we’ve seen necessarily, and credit Illinois for that. The way they bounced back after losing by a billion to Indiana the week before was pretty impressive, and they pulled out a last-minute victory. It could have been more lopsided if they had stayed away from some of those mishaps at the goal line.

“But Ohio State looks really, really good, especially on defense. I think they’ve only allowed 22 points all season long. They win 24-6 over Washington. The Penn State vs Oregon game was great. Alabama vs. Georgia was really good early. And then it was funny that Penn State vs. Oregon was boring, but Alabama, Georgia was really good. And then Penn State, Oregon got crazy in the fourth quarter in overtime. And Alabama vs. Georgia was just not much action in the second half. So it kind of worked out.
