Michigan hosted Miami (Ohio) offensive tackle commit Tommy Fraumann earlier this fall and left a strong impression on the rising lineman. Turns out, the Wolverines checked enough boxes to flip the 6-7, 25- senior.

He announced his decision Friday morning. Rivals considers him a three-star prospect with an 87 rating. Fraumann is the No. 76 tackle in the country and the No. 24 prospect in Illinois out of Wilmette (Ill.) Loyola Academy.

The newest Wolverine commit caught up with The Wolverine after the game and spoke highly of this first experience around the program.

“It went great…I loved the game day atmosphere and environment,” Fraumann said.

He committed to Miami in April over a handful of Group of Five offers that included Toledo, Oregon State, San Diego State, Western Michigan and others. He did not reported any offers since his spring pledge to the MAC program.

The Wolverines hold three offensive line commits at this point in the 2026 cycle— Top 100 tackle Malakai Lee, Rivals300 lineman Marky Walbridge and three-star lineman Bear McWhorter
