Reeder Recruitment

Reeder gave Wisconsin a verbal commitment back in May and seemed solid to the Badgers throughout the process.

However, Reeder notched an offer from Michigan late last month and quickly set up an official visit. Linebacker was a big remaining need for the Wolverines this cycle, and the staff made Reeder feel like a top priority.

Michigan pushed for Reeder’s commitment during his stay on campus and won him over soon after.

Here is what Holland had to say about Reeder.

“Michigan needed to land another linebacker this cycle,” Holland said. “The Wolverines had just one pledge at the position in Markel Dabney. The staff identified Reeder as a late riser and made him a priority. He’s had a productive senior season and projects as a high floor take. He fits more of the MIKE role and complements Dabney well.”

At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Reeder is ranked as the No. 46 linebacker and No. 566 overall prospect in the country, per the Rivals Industry Ranking. He is also ranked as the No. 28 overall recruit in the state of Ohio this cycle.

Michigan now has 23 commits in its 2026 recruiting class — Reeder, five-star Mineral (Va.) Louisa County running back Savion Hiter, five-star Washington (D.C.)
