Wolverine TV: Can Michigan flip four-star Kansas EDGE commit Deshawn Warner?

The Wolverine’s EJ Holland and Zach Libby discussed several Michigan recruiting topics on the Tuesday edition of The Wolverine Live recruiting show, including the latest on four-star Goodyear (Ariz.) Desert Edge pass rusher Deshawn Warner.
Watch and listen to Holland and Libby share the latest on Michigan recruiting above.
Warner Recruitment
Michigan is back in the market for an EDGE after seeing four-star Corbin (Ky.) High prospect Jacob Smith flip to Kentucky and four-star Cincinnati (Ohio) Taft prospect Elias Rudolph flip to Miami.
The Wolverines have been hard at work evaluating senior film over the last couple of weeks and recently extended an offer to Warner, who has been committed to Kansas since July. Now, Michigan is looking to get him on campus for an official visit.
Here is what Holland had to say about Michigan’s chances of flipping him from the Jayhawks.
“Michigan has been evaluating Warner since late winter/early spring,” Holland said. “They didn’t offer. They wanted to see more. That preexisting relationship that Dylan Roney has with Warner is going to go a long way in this recruitment. You have to get him on campus for an official visit. I would be surprised if that doesn’t happen. Michigan is a superior program to Kansas. They produce a ton of EDGE guys, and that’s an easy selling point to Warner.”
At 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, Warner is ranked as the No. 23 EDGE and No. 240 overall prospect in the country, per On3. He is also ranked as the No. 5 overall recruit in the state of Arizona.
