The Wolverine’s EJ Holland talked about several Michigan recruiting topics on the Tuesday edition of The Wolverine Live, including U-M’s push for Georgia linebacker commit Nick Abrams.

Abrams Recruitment
Michigan made Abrams a top priority throughout the offseason and hosted him for an official visit in June.
The Rivals300 prospect named Michigan in his final four before ultimately giving Georgia a verbal commitment. However, Michigan never stopped contacting Abrams. The Wolverines have a big need at linebacker and are doing everything they can to flip Abrams away from the Bulldogs.
Michigan linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary saw Abrams on the road last week. Abrams will return the favor by making a visit to Michigan this weekend.
Here is what Holland had to say about this recruitment.
“It’s no secret Michigan still has a big need at linebacker this cycle,” Holland said. “The Wolverines made Abrams a top priority in the spring and summer. He was always at the top of the board. Michigan checks a lot of boxes for Abrams both on and off the field. If Michigan can get the NIL right, it should be in a strong position to flip him. We should know a lot more after his visit.”
