5 NC State baseball newcomers to watch in fall exhibitions

After making its 19th trip to the NCAA Tournament in the last 23 years under skipper Elliott Avent, NC State baseball is back in action for its fall practices and exhibition games. The Wolfpack, eager to get back to Omaha for the third time since 2021, added 16 newcomers to the roster this offseason. Avent, who brought in nine transfers and seven freshmen, will be able to evaluate the new additions to the roster in the Pack’s two exhibition games over the next five days as NC State will play Wake Forest in Fredericksburg, Va. on Saturday night (6:35 p.m.) before squaring off with UNC at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Thursday evening (6 p.m.).
