The linebacker picked up an offer from NC State following a camp in June. Lewis has visited NC State a total of four times so far this year, including most recently for the matchup against Texas Tech.
“The visit was awesome,” he said after seeing the Pack defeat the Red Raiders. “My favorite part was definitely getting to experience the game day environment for the first time.”
He also made trips to Raleigh for a junior day in January and again for the Alpha Wolf Showcase.
Lewis is 6-1.5, 207 pounds and runs a 4.65 40-yard dash. He also had offers from Marshall, Toledo and Eastern Kentucky, while also telling The Wolfpacker earlier this fall that he had interest from West Virginia, Northwestern, Cincinnati and others.

When Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) coaching staffs could begin reaching out to the junior class, Lewis said he believed NC State was the first school to contact him. In late August, the linebacker said that culture is very important to him when going through his decision-making process.
“I’d like to go to a place where there’s a lot of stability. There are not coaches in and out of there all the time,” Lewis said. The culture of the place is very important to me.”
Not only is Lewis the first commitment of NC State’s 2024 class, he is also the first linebacker to commit to the Pack since the class of 2022. The Wolfpack does not hold a linebacker commit for the 2023 class at the moment but is making several a priority.
