Five NC State commits selected to Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas

The Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas on Dec. 20 at Spartanburg (S.C.) High will feature five players headed to NC State and one key senior recruiting target.

NC State offensive line commit Tre Aiken of Clinton (S.C.) High will part of South Carolina’s high-powered offensive line group. 

Aiken is joined on the South Carolina team by NCSU senior cornerback commit Jordyn Best of Columbia (S.C.) Ridge View High.

Three NC State commits and one senior target made the North Carolina team.

NC State senior quarterback commit Jacob Smith of Pfafftown Reagan was one of two quarterbacks selected for the North Carolina squad.

Clayton quarterback Aiden Smalls, who is going to play wide receiver at NC State, made the North Carolina team at receiver.

Shelby (N.C.) Crest senior safety commit D’Various Surratt also made the North Carolina team.

NC State has been targeting Charlotte (N.C.) Myers Park senior defensive end Damaad Lewis, and he was selected to the North Carolina squad.
