How a bond with NC State QB CJ Bailey led to 4-star WR Jasen Lopez locking in an official visit

Each time Miami (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna four-star wide receiver Jasen Lopez talks with NC State quarterback CJ Bailey, the same topic comes up: the Wolfpack.  Lopez, the No. 207 recruit in the 2026 cycle, has been a longtime priority target for the Pack at wide receiver. And since he plays for Bailey’s alma mater, the signal-caller has taken it upon himself to recruit one of the top route runners in the cycle.  It continued into the Lions spring practice slate. Bailey stopped by to check it out and made sure to continue to be on Lopez to set an official visit. Soon enough, it happened.  Lopez will be on campus this weekend for his first of five official visits over the next month. Bailey, the Wolfpack’s incumbent starter as a sophomore, is one of the main reasons why.
