How NC State walk-on Jordan Snell served as the glue in Will Wade’s coaching transition

NC State coach Will Wade sat inside the Dail Basketball Center’s film room for a preseason press conference, holding court as he tends to do, Monday afternoon. He had a few jokes with his dry humor mixed in throughout the nearly 40-minute interview session, while he also raved about his transfer-portal laden roster for much of his time in front of more than two dozen media members.  But only one player’s name sent the 42-year-old veteran coach on a passionate tangent. It wasn’t prized portal addition Darrion Williams or top-20 high school recruit Matt Able that did. No. It was walk-on senior guard Jordan Snell.
