NC State coach Will Wade dubbed it his “hostile takeover.” He was tired of letting the players try to figure out their up-and-down start of the year, rather he was going to take matters into his own hands after a turbulent first nine games of the season.  And, well, it seems like the new authoritarian government inside the Dail Basketball Center has made progress if game No. 10 was any sign. The Wolfpack’s sign of growth? A dominant 85-45 win over Liberty on Wednesday night at Lenovo Center.  To put that in perspective, the Flames entered the night as the third-best team nationally, in terms of effective field goal percentage, with a 62.8 percent mark. The Pack limited them to just a 35.3 percent shooting clip, including just a 29.6 percent total in the first half as the visitors scored a season-low 19 points in the opening 20 minutes.  NC State’s ability to defend at a high level allowed its offense to get rolling as the team put together one of its best performances of the Wade Era in Raleigh.  Freshman guard Matt Able led the Wolfpack with 13 points, while senior forward Ven-Allen Lubin added and 13 chipped in with senior guard Quadir Copeland added 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Here are TheWolfpacker.com’s observations from the 40-point blowout win.
