LB Bailey Benson's wait in transfer portal ended with call from NC State, Isaiah Moore

As each day in the transfer portal passed, Wake Forest linebacker Bailey Benson eagerly waited for a school to call with a scholarship offer. He had heard from both Georgia Tech and Georgia State, but neither one extended a formal offer.  It seemed as if he wasn't gaining any solid traction with potential schools. But in the transfer portal era, it just takes one school to believe in a prospect. And in Benson’s case, that was NC State.
