It’s no secret that NC State cornerbacks coach Brian Mitchell keeps a small recruiting board. Usually most of those that he pursues end up with the Wolfpack.

That’s no different with Winter Park (Fla.) three-star cornerback Jordan Jackson. The rising defensive back pledged his commitment to NC State during his official visit Saturday evening.

The 6-foot-1, 177-pound corner is the first of his position group to commit to the Wolfpack in the 2026 cycle.

Jackson visited NC State during the spring practice slate, while he also stopped by App State in April. Those are the only two programs he had official visits set with, having gone to Boone two weeks ago.

Jackson is NC State’s eighth pledge of the 2026 cycle. He joins Locust Grove (Ga.) Lulella three-star safety safety Markel Aguirre, Buford (Ga.) three-star running back Dylan McCoy,Paramus (N.J.) Catholic three-star linebacker Jordan Moreta, Richmond (Va.) Trinity Episcopal three-star tackle Brady Sakowitz, Baltimore (Md.) Milford Mill Academy three-star safety Koby Sarkodie and Pfafftown (N.C.) Reagan three-star quarterback Jacob Smith.
