NC State announces new staff members as Will Wade continues to build program

As NC State coach Will Wade continues to build his staff, the Wolfpack announced four key hires going into the 2025-26 season on Tuesday afternoon.
The Pack introduced Director of Pack Performance Greg Goldin, whose hire TheWolfpacker.com reported first, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Steven Soltysiak, Director of Operations Nick Flory and Director of Player Development Joseph Anderson.
Goldin, who is in a newly-created position at NC State, will oversee the body transformations of the Wolfpack’s players going into Wade’s first season. He and the Wolfpack’s first-year coach have a long history together, dating back to their time as assistants at VCU during the 2011-12 season.
Wade is loyal to those that he grows close with and Goldin falls in that bucket. He went to Chattanooga as the Mocs’ head strength and conditioning coach when Wade accepted the head coaching job there in 2013. Once Wade was hired as VCU’s head coach, Goldin followed as the Rams’ director of men’s basketball sports performance.
Goldin then accompanied Wade to LSU, where he was the Tigers’ director of strength and conditioning for four seasons. He left Baton Rouge, La., to become a human performance manager with the US Navy Special Operations, overseeing the strength and conditioning programs with a focus on readiness and resilience of operators.

The New York native returned to the college basketball ranks in the 2023-24 campaign as he joined Penn State’s staff under Mike Rhoades, who was also a VCU assistant along with Wade early in their respective careers.
Soltysiak, meanwhile, arrives to the Wolfpack after he spent the last two seasons as McNeese’s associate director of sports performance with men’s basketball. He was previously at Colorado, while he also interned with Notre Dame football, and Louisville football and men’s soccer in his career. He holds degrees from Central Missouri and Louisville.
Flory, like Soltysiak, followed Wade to NC State from McNeese. He was in the same position with the Cowboys during the last two seasons — a pair of Southland Conference titles. Before that, Flory spent a year as an assistant at Branson (Mo.) Link Academy as the program went 26-1 and won the 2023-24 Geico High School National Championship. Flory’s relationship with Wade goes back to his time as a student manager at LSU from 2018-20 before he was a graduate assistant with the Tigers from 2020-22.
Rounding out the new hires is Anderson, who was a graduate assistant at McNeese for the last two years. He was previously a graduate assistant at Oklahoma State following a playing career at Northern Arizona, Nevada (where he overlapped with NC State assistant Brandon Chambers) and UAlbany.
