As NC State prepared to play East Carolina in the Military Bowl last December, former Wolfpack linebacker Isaiah Moore found himself in a unique situation. He spent much of the 2024 season as a defensive analyst, but after Tony Gibson departed to become Marshall’s head coach, Moore was thrown into the fire as the team’s interim linebackers coach.  Although he was just 25 at the time, two years removed from being teammates with several players in the position group, Moore was entrusted with leading the room for the first time. His coaching resume was short, at the time, headlined by his volunteer job at Raleigh (N.C.) Cardinal Gibbons, but that didn’t seem to matter.  Moore was all in. He dreamed of being able to return to NC State to help set others up for success, and he was quickly put right into the position to do just that. He wasn’t sure what to expect, but with Dave Doeren’s backing, Moore jumped in head first.
