NC State at Wake Forest game notes
– This marks the 119th meeting between NC State and Wake Forest, the longest-running series in Wolfpack program history. The Pack holds the advantage in the all-time series with a 69-43-6 mark in the 134 years of football in Raleigh. NC State and Wake Forest have met in every season since 1910, making it the second-longest running streak in the FBS (Wisconsin-Minnesota has been played every year since 1907).
– Winston-Salem has been a House of Horrors for NC State football. The Wolfpack only owns three wins on the Demon Deacons’ home field since 2000 (2001, 2015 and 2023). During that stretch, NC State is 10-3 against Wake Forest at home, but just 3-9 on the road.
– NC State senior wide receiver Wesley Grimes is set to return to Allegacy Stadium for the first time since he transferred from Wake Forest ahead of last season. He spent his first two campaigns with the Demon Deacons before joining the Wolfpack. Grimes currently ranks 16th in FBS in yards per reception with a 25.7 mark this fall.
