NC State commitment analysis: 3-star DL Carmelo McKenzie

NC State entered its first weekend of official visits and was able to land a key commitment along the defensive front as Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star defensive lineman Carmelo McKenzie pledged to the Wolfpack.  The No. 109 defensive lineman in the 2026 cycle is a battle-tested prospect that has played some of the top talent in the country after he transferred to IMG Academy. Originally from York, Pa., McKenzie is no stranger to ACC country.  Let’s take a look at what McKenzie’s commitment means for NC State moving forward.
