NC State continues to add to its 2026 recruiting class as signing day is less than two weeks away.

Despite the fast-approaching date, the Wolfpack picked up a commitment from Iva (S.C.) Crescent three-star wideout Amiri Acker on Saturday as the program edged Cincinnati for his services.

Once a Liberty commit, Acker is the third wide receiver to join the Pack’s current crop of recruits. He is also the second pledge of the week, joining Chicago (Ill.) Marist three-star tight end Stephen Brown, who picked NC State on Thursday morning.

Acker’s commitment follows his two recent trips to see the Wolfpack play this month. He was in the stands for the upset win over then-No. 8 Georgia Tech on Nov. 1 before he returned this weekend for his official visit as he watched NC State beat Florida State 21-11 on Friday night.

“It was a great night and it was crazy, being able to beat a ranked team and being unranked,” Acker said after his first visit to campus. “The atmosphere, I just liked everything about it. I can’t explain it [rushing the field], but people kept saying ‘Commit, commit, commit.’”

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound wideout is the No. 11-ranked player in South Carolina’s 2026 cycle. Acker caught 55 passes for 1,277 yards and 16 touchdowns, while he added 26 carries with 331 yards and two more scores during his senior season.

While Acker is a reliable pass catcher on the outside as a receiver, he also possesses elite speed as a track star. He won the SCHSL AAA state championship in the 100-meter dash (10.52) and the 200 (21.35) last year — a transferable trait to the collegiate level.

NC State has been on Acker since May with wide receivers coach Joker Phillips leading the way, but he committed to Liberty in June. The wideout decommitted from the Flames in October, taking official visits to Cincinnati and NC State.

Acker nearly committed on his first visit to NC State at the beginning of the month. He waited for his second trip to Raleigh, but wrapped his recruitment shortly after leaving the Wolfpack’s campus this weekend.

The wide receiver is NC State’s 21st commit of the 2026 class. He joins Kinston (N.C.) wide receiver Tyreek Copper, Buford (Ga.) three-star running back Dylan McCoy, Kernersville (N.C.) East Forsyth three-star wide receiver Jaire Richburg, Richmond (Va.) Trinity Episcopal three-star tackle Brady Sakowitz, Maryville (Tenn.) three-star offensive lineman Brody Smith and Pfafftown (N.C.) Reagan three-star quarterback Jacob Smith as the program’s recruits on the offensive side of the ball.

The Pack’s defensive pledges, meanwhile, include Locust Grove (Ga.) Lulella three-star safety safety Markel Aguirre, Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge safety Tristen Hill, Winter Park (Fla.) three-star cornerback Jordan Jackson, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star defensive lineman Carmelo McKenzie, Paramus (N.J.) Catholic three-star linebacker Jordan Moreta, Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills linebacker Zykir Moore, Baltimore (Md.) Milford Mill Academy three-star safety Koby Sarkodie and Shelby (N.C.) Crest three-star safety D’Various Surratt.

Cameron (N.C.) Union Pines long snapper Taylon Tranel is the Wolfpack’s only special teams commit.
