Freshman quarterback Will Wilson plunged into the end zone yet again, while another true freshman to burned his redshirt to provide support to NC State's injury-riddled secondary in the Wolfpack's 21-11 victory over Florida State on Friday night at Carter-Finley Stadium. NC State used eight total true freshmen in its bowl-clinching victory over the Seminoles, leaning on first-year players in several critical roles in the process. It’s important to note that players can appear in up to four regular season games and still retain their redshirt. We will track those numbers each week.
