NC State football game predictions: Week 5 vs. Virginia Tech

After back-to-back ACC road games in other parts of the state, NC State is back home at Carter-Finley Stadium to host Virginia Tech on Saturday night (7 p.m., The CW). The Wolfpack, reeling after its first defeat of the year as it fell 45-33 at Duke, is looking to right the ship against the Hokies in just the fifth meeting of the Dave Doeren era. Entering the night, Virginia Tech leads the all-time series with a 28-20-4 advantage, but NC State has won each of the last two meetings in 2022 (22-21 in Raleigh) and 2023 (35-28 in Blacksburg).
