NC State football jumped out to a quick 17-0 lead against East Carolina, but it had to hold on for a 24-17 win as the game came down to the wire by the final minute. NC State, however, did what it needed to do to secure its first victory of the new campaign Thursday night at Carter-Finley Stadium. The Wolfpack offense flashed its potential, at times, while its defense was able to stop the run with authority throughout the night. Although NC State came out on top, the Wolfpack will likely use it as a learning opportunity moving forward this fall. This week’s report card is the first of the 2025 season, which will allow for plenty of improvement across the board in Raleigh.
