SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- NC State's 11-play, _-yard drive that was capped by a sophomore quarterback CJ Bailey 45-yard dart to sophomore wideout Terrell Anderson for the Wolfpack's explosive touchdown was the team's lone bright spot on offense in the 36-7 loss at Notre Dame on Saturday afternoon. Bailey was 17-of-30 passing for 186 yards, a touchdown and three interceptions, while redshirt sophomore running back Hollywood Smothers posted 12 carries for 46 yards to go along with four receptions for 21 yards. Anderson, meanwhile, had three catches for 57 yards and NC State's only score of the afternoon. While the Wolfpack offense struggled freshman wide receiver Teddy Hoffmann was the unit's highest-graded player with an 81.6 mark, while freshman right guard Spike Sowells and Anderson were NC State's only other two offensive players to record a mark above 70.0 in the loss to the Irish. Let’s take a look at NC State’s full list of initial PFF grades and snap counts with notes to put some of the data into context.
