NC State football snap counts, PFF grades and notes: Offense at Wake Forest

WINSTON-SALEM -- NC State's offense helped keep the Wolfpack in the game as its defense struggled early, and then it put Wake Forest away in the second half in the 34-24 win Thursday night at Allegacy Stadium. Sophomore quarterback CJ Bailey was 23-for-32 passing for 201 yards and three touchdowns, while redshirt sophomore running back Hollywood Smothers rushed for a career-best 163 yards on 24 attempts. Senior tight end Justin Joly caught four passes for 22 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the scoring attack. Bailey was the Pack's highest-graded player on offense in the victory, according to Pro Football Focus, while tight end Cody Hardy and right tackle Teague Andersen impressed as well.
