Although it was an up-and-down season for NC State's defense, which worked to install a new scheme under first-year defensive coordinator, the Wolfpack unit put together some of its most-impactful play in the final month of the regular season. In turn, the Pack went 3-1 in November, including limiting Florida State and UNC to just 11 and 19 points, respectively, as the defense hit its stride at a critical point of the season. Graduate linebacker Caden Fordham led the Pack with 130 total tackles, while senior cornerback Devon Marshall turned in a nation-leading 15 pass breakups to go with two interceptions. Senior defensive end Travali Price and Fordham, meanwhile, paced NC State with 3.5 total sacks each. Speaking of Marshall, he was the highest-graded player on the Wolfpack's defense in the regular season, according to Pro Football Focus with a near-elite mark, while senior defensive end Sabastian Harsh was right on his heels. Let’s take a look at NC State’s full list of PFF grades and snap counts with notes to put some of the data into context.
