NC State and Virginia are ready to meet for a unique non-conference clash, the first such tilt between the two squads since 1948. This year's game Saturday inside Carter-Finley Stadium (12 p.m., ESPN2) is the opener of a home-and-home the Wolfpack will return in Charlottesville next fall. Both teams won their openers over Group of Five opponents -- NC State over ECU (24-17) and Virginia over Coastal Carolina (48-7) -- so this game will be the toughest test thus far for each squad. To get a better understanding of this season’s Cavaliers, TheWolfpacker.com caught up with The Daily Progress' Greg Madia, who covers Virginia for the paper.
