NC State freshman report: Who played in the Campbell win, breaking down each performance

NC State built a quick 42-point lead by halftime as it coasted to a 56-10 blowout win over Campbell on Saturday afternoon at Carter-Finley Stadium. With the lopsided first half, Wolfpack coach Dave Doeren opted to take his foot off the gas pedal midway through the third quarter and began playing the team’s backups. Since that was the case, NC State played eight true freshmen, including tight end Preston Douglas, who made his collegiate debut in the fourth quarter. It’s important to note that players can appear in up to four regular season games and still retain their redshirt. We will track those numbers each week. Here’s a look at how the Wolfpack’s true freshmen played in the win over the Camels.
