PITTSBURGH — NC State wasn’t able to keep up with Pitt’s surging offense in a 53-34 loss on Saturday afternoon at Acrisure Stadium. The Wolfpack, despite the defeat, played six freshmen in key roles on the road this past weekend.  Freshman wideout Teddy Hoffmann headlined NC State’s first-year players performances in the Steel City with his first-ever passing and receiving touchdowns of his collegiate career.  It’s important to note that players can appear in up to four regular season games and still retain their redshirt. We will track those numbers each week. Here’s a look at how the Wolfpack’s true freshmen played in the loss to the Panthers.
