As NC State’s season opener approaches, the Wolfpack recently filled its final open spot on its staff.

The Pack hired Juliana Prezelski as its new director of football operations this month. She replaces Brock Mckirgan, who departed NC State to become Marshall’s Chief of Staff under former Wolfpack defensive coordinator Tony Gibson.

Prezelski was previously the assistant athletic director for football operations at the University of Buffalo, where she served the Bulls for the 2024 campaign.

With the Bulls, Prezelski oversaw Buffalo’s football operations, including schedules, organizational charts and other related matters. She was also in charge of budget forecasting for football operations, including contracts and other administrative duties.

Before her time in Buffalo, Prezelski spent three seasons at Mississippi State as the Bulldogs’ assistant director of football operations/player parent liaison. While she worked in Starkville, Miss., Prezelski was key in coordinating team travel, managing day-to-day operations and assisting with budget planning.

A 2018 (bachelor’s, accounting) and 2019 (master’s, accountancy) graduate from the University of Maryland, Prezelski worked with the Terrapins football program for four seasons as the head operations and recruiting intern. She was responsible for daily communication with the head and assistant coaches, while she oversaw and coordinated responsibilities for more than 20 recruiting interns.

In addition to Prezelski hiring, the Wolfpack also promoted Sam Butler from football operations intern to assistant director of football operations earlier this offseason. The 2024 NC State graduate spent seven months as an intern with the program before joining the staff in a full-time position.
