When Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills linebacker Zykir Moore arrived at NC State for an unofficial visit earlier this year, he wasn’t sure what to expect. He suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of his junior campaign, likely setting his recruitment back some.  But as he walked through the Murphy Center doors, the Wolfpack’s staff was brimming with joy to see him. Everyone Moore talked to seemed excited that he was there, including NC State defensive coordinator D.J. Eliot.  Eliot, a coaching veteran, pulled Moore to the side to share that he believed the Steel City linebacker had some of the best film he had seen of a 2026 prospect. All the Pack's coordinator and linebackers coach needed to see was the one game that Moore played before going down with his ankle injury to offer the recruit.
